In our modern and rapidly changing world, education is not just a period to what we call “formal education”. We don’t learn information once, the process of learning lasts our entire lives.
Our careers require continuing education to expand our knowledge. Some information changes so quickly that a college freshman can no longer, with his or her baggage of knowledge, do the job clearly. We are in a constant dance with information through our education.
In fact, the most successful and happiest people are those who become lifelong learners. They understand that education is an amazing thing, and that they need to constantly improve their knowledge.
Life is a teacher. Experience is the teacher. Our “teachers” and “gurus” are simply presenters who open our hearts and minds to be good students of these great teachers. Knowledge-just knowledge. And the student’s role is to be the visionary, to use the information to transform and transcend experience.
