Explanatory note
Purpose of work: control of students’ knowledge of the first half-year of sixth grade mathematics course.
Form of work: a written test.
Execution time: 45 minutes.
Description of the work: The test work consists of two variants, including 8 tasks on the topics:
– comparison of decimals;
– rounding decimals;
– unit conversion;
– operations with decimals;
– solving equations;
– Interest and motion problems;
The texts of the quizzes are printed out for each student.
Grading Criteria:
– “5” is given if all assignments are completed completely or if there are 1-2 minor errors;
– A “4” is given when there are 1-2 small mistakes or one mistake;
– A “3” is awarded if you complete 5 of the proposed tasks, one of which is the execution of actions;
– A “2” is awarded if there are significant mistakes, which show that the student does not have the necessary skills in the topic in full (ignorance of the basic program material);
Option 1
1. Compare the numbers: a) 4.23 and 4.230 b) 0.051 and 0.1
2. Calculate: 30,06 – 2,65 ∙ 3,2.
3. Express 1.78 kg in grams.
4. Round the number 6.736 to one hundredths.
5. Solve the equation: 54.2 ∙ x = 146.34.
6. Last year, 200 students in the school had pets. This year, there are 30% more students. How many students now have pets?
7. Calculate: (3.81 + 59.427 : 9.3) ∙ 7.6 – 10.2 ∙ 4.7 + 6.24
8. Two pedestrians left the same settlement at the same time in different directions. The speed of one of them is 6.2 km/h, the speed of the other is 5.6 km/h. What will be the distance between them in 3.6 h?
Option 2
1. Compare the numbers: a) 7.64 and 7.604 b) 0.008 and 0.1
2. Calculate: (24.75 + 7.5) : 2,5.
3. Express 250 g in kilograms.
4. Round the number 0.0576 to the thousandths.
5. Solve the equation: x : 24.7 = 5.2
6. On the first day, 300 computers were sold; on the second day, 40% more were sold. How many computers were sold on the second day?
7. Calculate: 20.8 : (12 – 11.36) – 1.7 ∙ 3.25 + 20.7 ∙ 5.2.
8. Two cars simultaneously drove from two cities A and B, the distance between them being 477.72 km, toward each other. The speed of the car leaving A is 60.2 km/h, the speed of the car leaving B is 72.5 km/h. How many hours later will the cars meet?
